Competition details
The 10 participating teams will play a
qualifying tournament
(round robin on a home-and-away basis).
The first 4 teams will directly qualify for the final competition of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany (tm).
The fifth-placed team will contest
play-off matches
against the winner of Oceania.
The winner will qualify for the final competition of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany (tm).
